ADAMS APPLE TRIO – ‘LOVE UNKNOWN’

This album was recorded in Cardiff at a studio owned by a great musician who is a very busy session player.
I used his studio drum set but with my snare drum and cymbals, the kit was a DW kit and was very easy to work with. The snare drum I used was my Sonor De-lite 14×5 which always sounded awesome with brushes. The cymbals were my trusty Bosphorus Traditional set which I still use today.
The music on this album was created over a series of sessions and rehearsals with Adam and Ben, shaping the tunes and getting them to come alive off of the page. The hymns are beautiful and Adam did a superb job in transforming them into a modern jazz sensibility, my playing on this record I am quite happy with, though the second album really shows the growth in the band.
